Dr. Michael Muehlstaedt has studied medicine at Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich (Germany), where he has also received his doctoral degree. He pursued his education in dermatology and venerology at the Munich University Hospital and Munich Municipal Hospital under Professor Plewig and Professor Ruzicka, where he also received his board certification. There, between 2007 and 2012, he specialised in dermatosurgery in the unit of Professor Christian Kunte. In 2013, he went to Geneva (Switzerland), where he is since heading the Dermatosurgical Unit at the Division of Dermatology and Venerology of Professor Boehncke at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). Dr. Muehlstaedt is certified as a micrographic surgeon by the European Society for Micrographic Surgery (ESMS) and member of multiple societies amongst which the ISDS.
