Professor Leonardo Marini is a Dermatologic Surgeon specialized both in Dermatology and General Surgery. He currently serves as Medical and Scientific Director of The Skin Doctors’ Center in Trieste (I), one of the most advanced, Dermato-Surgical Clinics in northern Italy where he regularly perform Mohs micrographically-assisted surgery, advanced laser dermatology, general and aesthetic dermatologic surgery.

From 1998 to 2011 he served as Consultant Dermatologic Surgeon at Aviano USAF Air Base, Pordenone – Italy.
From 2004 to 2010 he served as Visiting Professor at the University Department of Dermatology in Siena and Parma.

Professor Marini participated to the foundation of ESMS in Estoril, Portugal on April 6-7, 1990. He also founded the European Society for Laser Dermatology (ESLD) in 1996 and served as its President for the initial years of its activity. Co-Founder and Past president of the European Society for Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology (ESCAD), he presently serves as its Treasurer. As Chairman of the EADV Task Force for Laser and EBD, he is actively involved in promoting high standard of teaching and training around Europe being also involved in the Fostering Dermatology teaching program of the European Academy of Dermatology where he chair courses of Laser Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He proudly serves as Honorary President of the Hellenic Society for Dermatologic Surgery and acts as active member of numerous Scientific Societies around the world.

Professor Marini has published numerous scientific peer-reviewed papers in international medical journals as well as numerous book chapters. He also act as reviewer of many prestigious Dermatological and Laser Journals. He gave more than 700 clinical presentations at international congresses and scientific meetings.
