Kai Munte followed residency in Marburg Germany and worked since 1999 as the dermatologist in that academic Department of dermatology of the Erasmus MC, Rotterdam. Together with Prof. Martino Neumann he helped to build up Mohs micrographic surgery in Rotterdam. Responsible for all surgical procedures Rotterdam becomes one of the biggest Mohs micrographic surgery center in Europe. Kai Munte is still practicing a lot of Mohs micrographic surgery and is teaching other dermatologists to become a Mohs surgeon. A lot of this publication comes from that time. At this moment he is also the president of the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
